Repair and Improvements
The U.S. Department of State provides safe, functional, sustainable, and reliable facilities for work, living, and auxiliary functions in support of diplomatic missions around the globe; constructed, operated, maintained, and repaired by the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations. The Office of Facilities Management, Small Projects and Transition Division supports posts both from Washington D.C. and onsite with construction management of repair and improvement projects, as well as supports the transition from construction to facilities management of New Embassy (and Consulate) Compounds by managing construction, ensuring turnover of material and maintenance library documentation, assisting with maintenance staff hiring, ensuring training, and monitoring purchasing of maintenance tools and equipment. MLG team members have served as construction managers and transition coordinators while at a previous firm for multiple projects worldwide.
